JCS Volunteer Opportunity Catalogue
We are pleased to provide the Volunteer Opportunity Catalogue to
help you plan your Family Service Hours. We hope it will help you
connect to areas of the school where you have a special interest.
This catalogue is a “living document” meaning it will be added to
and updated often. There is a revised date at the bottom of each
page so that you can quickly see if there have been recent changes.
To make it easy to use, the information is divided by seasons.
As we researched Family Service policies at other schools we found
that some local parochial schools required more than 30 hours, some
schools required as many as 36 hours. Most did not provide a
significant list of opportunities during the evening, weekend and
summer. This growing list of opportunities should assist each family
as they seek to plan where they would like to serve. A special help
to single parent households is that family and friends can help you
fulfill your hours!
Thanks to parent volunteer Jody Reynolds for producing our
catalogue, which will be a fantastic tool! Jody is a perfect example
of a busy mom who works full time, with several children in school
who found a volunteer opportunity that fit her schedule and her
interests. Jody does a lot of computer work at her place of
employment, so computer work is “easy” for her. Jody helped in a
significant way and it fit her schedule. We hope you will also find
it easy and rewarding to plug in.
Every entry in the catalogue has a contact name with it. If you see
a spot you would like to fill please send an email or make a phone
call to let the person requesting volunteers know that you would
like to help.

on the Service Form to print out the form that you should return
to the school office each time you complete volunteer hours.
